"NEW JAPANESE" ASSIMILATION PROBLEM: CURRY ATTACK ON COMPANY PRESIDENT

Why is it always Saitama?

With a fertility rate of 1.15, Japan is set to become a much more "multicultural" society as "New Japanese" enter the country from abroad. This will inevitably create problems of assimilation that will cause the occasional shocking and baffling incident.

In the latest case of New Japanese failing to assimilate properly to Japanese culture, whilst retaining unfortunate elements of their previous cultures, four Indian and Nepalese suspects were arrested in Saitama after an unsuccessful attack on a company president who was carrying 7.8 million yen (US$ 47,580) in cash at the time.

Most strikingly, the attack seems to have involved using what appears to have been "curry powder" or something similar to disable the victim by rubbing it in his eyes.

As reported by Nippon Television

"Four Indian men were arrested for smearing spice powder on the face of the company president and trying to rob a bag containing cash. According to the police, Sharma Aman, an Indian national, and three other suspects are suspected of injuring the president of a staffing agency by smearing spice powder on his face on the street in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture, in March, and trying to rob a bag containing about 7.8 million yen in cash.

It is believed that the suspect Aman had a dispatch contract with this company at the time, and the four of them committed the crime knowing that the day of the incident was the company's payday and that the president had cash."

The attack proved unsuccessful and the four masked assailants left empty handed only to be tracked down later by police.

Despite this unfortunate incident, let us hope that other New Japanese are successfully assimilating into Japanese society by not using condiments to attack people.
