NOT TO BE MISSED: JAPAN'S CHEERLEADING EXTRAVAGANZA

Whoever picked the acronym for the “USA Nationals” should be keelhauled, as it really is confusing for an event that is both so “American” but entirely Japanese.

The "USA" in this case does not refer to some country that kills schoolgirls in Iran but instead to an organisation that thrills schoolgirls in Japan!

Yes, "USA" refers to the “United Spirit Association Japan” an organisation that, in partnership with the CDE (Cheer & Dance Education), corals the country's top cheerleading talent into Makuhari Messe for five intense days of high-energy choreographed excitement and competition from March 25 to March 29.

The event, which is the culmination of months of regional contests, is expected to brings together 733 teams and more than 8,000 participants—from young children to university students and adult athletes. Only the top-performing teams from these qualifying rounds earn the opportunity to compete on the national stage.

The competition is divided into school and club divisions, each highlighting different aspects of cheerleading and dance. School teams compete for prestigious national titles, with top performers receiving the Minister of Education Award, a recognition of excellence at the highest level.

Meanwhile, club teams not only compete for national glory but also for the chance to represent Japan internationally, earning qualification for global competitions. In recent years, Japanese teams have gained significant recognition on the world stage, consistently achieving top rankings and demonstrating exceptional skill and discipline. This success underscores the strength of Japan’s cheerleading and dance community, which continues to grow in both participation and competitive standards.

Since cheerleading was recognised by the International Olympic Committee in 2020, athletes have been inspired by the possibility of future Olympic participation. The USA Nationals serves as a platform where dreams take shape, motivating performers to push their limits and pursue excellence.

It is a thrilling celebration of teamwork, athleticism, and infectious passion. Spectators can expect dynamic performances, vibrant routines, and an atmosphere filled with energy and excitement. It is a must-see event for anyone interested in the evolving world of cheerleading and dance.

OK, I'm pretty sure the whole thing is a CIA brainwashing op, after all!
